AutoVinScope exists because most vehicle reports are written to sound reassuring. Ours is written to be accurate.
Why we built it
Buying a used car is one of the few large purchases people still make with almost no reliable information. Sellers know the vehicle. Buyers get a photo gallery and a story. AutoVinScope closes that gap with the records that do exist and an honest statement about the ones that do not.
What makes our reports different
- No fake clean checkmarks. If a registry was not searched, we say Not Checked. We never present an unrun search as a clean result.
- Verified records and AI estimates are labelled separately. You always know whether you are reading a retrieved record or an inference.
- Free findings come first. Recalls, crash tests and build data cost nothing on every VIN.
- Every report ends at the inspection. Data narrows the risk; a mechanic confirms it.
What we are not
AutoVinScope is not a consumer reporting agency and is not governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Reports may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing.
